Greetings to everyone in the name of our LORD Jesus Christ. I am Nalli Sampath Rao, a retired bank employee, and am here today to share my part of the testimony of how I was persuaded to join the Pray For India group. It is no exaggeration that Pray For India has been working ardently for the well-being of the society. Their many programmes like visiting the orphan homes, supporting the education of the poor children, feeding the hungry, helping the underprivileged and now the publications have served many across the nation. Their charity and services not only benefited children but has also influenced many citizens to come forward in lending a hand of support. I am one among those who were influenced.
Ever since my childhood, I was very much interested in social service and could not find a platform through which I can take part in it. However, I was doing my part whenever I could. Pray For India has provided me a solid ground and I am glad to say that I can now be an active participant in rendering my services to the needy. For the Bible says in Matthew 25:40, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ Whatever we are doing for the well-being of others reflects the point that we are doing it for our God and the name of the LORD is glorified through all this. In order for God to get glorified by the way we live, we must engage ourselves in good deeds, acts of generosity, works of kindness, ways of love, etc. Only when we do so, our God gets the glory from his children.
I believe God has a purpose for every one of us. Preaching the gospel to the unknown and the perishing, is the prominence of our existence. Apart from it, there is something else that God wants us to do. Helping the poor, supporting the needy, and giving to them with as much as you have. Our good deeds reflect the Christ in us and it is through our works that the unbelievers see Christ through us and glorify His name. We, who bear the image of Jesus in us, should let others see it by the good works and acts. One of the greatest commandments that God gave is Mark 12:31, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ When we love others as we love ourselves, believe me, God’s purpose will be fulfilled to a major extent.
Today, I feel so privileged to be a part of this organization and I would encourage you all to come forward and be a part of it. I know many of you might not have the time to come and offer your services. I would still encourage you to share your love with the needy whenever you get an opportunity. Not through this organization alone, but through any forum that you think you can offer your services. Let us not get engaged with our daily routine, but rather take some time out in spreading the love of Christ wherever we go. Please, come forward in sharing the love. God bless you all.
